Nexa Asia Series: Overdrive 2026 Overview

Overdrive was the summer 2026 edition of Nexa's Asia Series: 43 days from July 19 to August 30 with more than ¥200 million in combined guarantees. Beyond the headline number, the series is built from four layers that reward different kinds of players: Ring events, Phase events, weekly leaderboards and Daily Missions.

Asia Series: Overdrive

The four layers

Champion Ring Overdrive: seven flagship events that build from an opener called Ignition to the Grand Prix Main Event. Each awards a Champion Ring; the opener and the second event were ¥188 buy-ins with ¥1,000,000 guaranteed.
Champion Ring Phase events: six multi-flight championships. Play a Day 1, bag a stack and return for Day 2 to play for a Ring.
Overdrive Leaderboards: points for early-bird entries, bubble finishes and results, updated daily and paid weekly. Only a player's top 15 results per day (UTC) count, which limits pure volume grinding.
Daily Missions: complete missions to earn tickets to the ¥50,000 GTD Daily Final at 22:30 UTC+8; the mission pool totals ¥2,100,000 over the series.

Rules worth knowing

Tickets won for Overdrive events had to be used before the series ended and were forfeited afterwards; they had no cash value and could not be transferred or exchanged. Nexa reserves the right to change schedules, guarantees, buy-ins, structures and start times at any time, so the tournament lobby, not a promo page, is the reference on the day.

Our take

The leaderboard's top-15-per-day cap and the Daily Missions are what make this series interesting for mid-volume players rather than only for grinders. Nexa runs Asia Series editions repeatedly (Rings from the February 2026 edition count toward the Triple Ring Challenge), so expect the next one to follow a similar shape.
